About SIDe’26
The International Conference on Secure and Intelligent Digital Ecosystems — SIDe’26 — brings together researchers, academics, industry professionals, policymakers, and students working in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, communication systems, the Internet of Things, cloud and edge computing, blockchain, engineering management, and digital transformation.

Hosted by the Department of Computer Science within the School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence at Nazarbayev University, SIDe’26 provides an international platform for presenting original research, exchanging ideas, building collaborations, and advancing secure, trustworthy, and intelligent digital ecosystems.

The inaugural edition of SIDe’26 will be held in a hybrid format on October 22–23, 2026, in Astana, Kazakhstan.
About the School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence
The School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence (SCAI) at Nazarbayev University supports education, research, innovation, and industry collaboration in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science, robotics, applied mathematics, and intelligent systems.

Through its academic programmes, research laboratories, international partnerships, and access to advanced computing infrastructure, SCAI contributes to the development of globally competitive and nationally relevant research in emerging digital technologies.

SIDe’26 supports this mission by creating an international forum for researchers and practitioners to address current challenges in secure computing, trustworthy artificial intelligence, intelligent communication, and sustainable digital transformation.
Publication Opportunities
SIDe’26 offers two conference publication routes for eligible accepted papers, together with separate post-conference opportunities for substantially extended versions of selected work.

IEEE Publication Route — IEEE Sponsorship Approved
SIDe’26 has received IEEE sponsorship approval under IEEE Conference Record #71744 and is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Kazakhstan Section. Eligible accepted and presented papers assigned to the IEEE publication route will be submitted to the IEEE Conference Publication Program for consideration for inclusion in IEEE Xplore®, subject to compliance with IEEE publication, quality, copyright, and presentation requirements.

Springer Nature STEAM-H Publication Route
Selected accepted papers assigned to the Springer publication route will be considered for publication in an edited volume under the Springer Nature STEAM-H Book Series, subject to peer review, editorial selection, publisher requirements, and final acceptance. Springer-route registration fees are less (around 50%) of the corresponding IEEE-route registration fees.

Special Issues for Substantially Extended Papers
Authors of relevant SIDe’26 papers may submit substantially extended versions of their work to the following special issue:
Special Issue 1
Trustworthy Machine Learning and Secure Imaging Intelligence for Future Autonomous Digital Ecosystems
Journal: Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing
Indexing/Ranking: Scopus Q1; 2025 CiteScore: 7.7
Submission Deadline: 31 May 2027

Special Issue 2
Advanced Combinatorial Computing and Intelligent Techniques for Secure Systems
Journal: Journal of Combinatorics, Information & System Sciences (JCMISS)
Publisher: Taru Publications
Submission Deadline: 20 November 2026
Details: https://tarupublications.com/journals/jcmiss

Special Issue 3
Multimodal and Trustworthy Explainable AI for Next-Generation Diagnosis and Decision-Making in Gastrointestinal Cancers
Journal: Frontiers in Oncology
Section: Gastrointestinal Cancers: Gastric and Esophageal Cancers

Details: https://www.frontiersin.org/research-topics/83199/multimodal-and-trustworthy-explainable-ai-for-next-generation-diagnosis-and-decision-making-in-gastrointestinal-cancers

Authors of relevant SIDe’26 papers may submit substantially extended versions of their conference work to these special issues / Research Topic. Extended submissions must contain substantial new material beyond the original conference paper, clearly identify and cite/declare the conference version, and will undergo the respective journal’s standard peer-review and editorial process. Eligibility or invitation to submit does not guarantee acceptance.
For the Frontiers Research Topic, authors whose conference paper has already been published in IEEE Xplore or the Springer series must declare the original publication at submission and upload the conference version alongside the manuscript.

Important Publication Notice
Each accepted SIDe’26 conference manuscript may be published through only one conference proceedings route: IEEE or Springer Nature STEAM-H. The SIDe’26 Publication Committee will determine the final route allocation based on author preference, eligibility, scope, peer-review results, publisher requirements, and applicable publication arrangements.
The journal special issues listed above are separate post-conference opportunities for substantially extended versions of relevant SIDe’26 papers and are not additional conference proceedings routes. Submission to a special issue does not guarantee journal acceptance.
